LazyFare ("we," "us," or "our") operates lazyfare.net, a flight price monitoring service that sends email alerts when fares drop on routes you choose to watch. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

• Email address — to send you price alerts for the routes you're watching.
• Watchlist preferences — your origin, destination, departure window, trip length, and passenger count. This is what we use to match deals to your preferences.
• Flight price data — historical and current price data for monitored routes, fetched from third-party flight APIs. This data is not tied to you personally.

We do not collect payment information, passwords, location data, or any information beyond what's listed above.

How we use your data

• To send you price drop alerts for routes you have actively chosen to watch.
• To match incoming price data against your watchlist preferences.
• To maintain your account and process unsubscribe requests.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your email address with third parties except as required to deliver email (Amazon Web Services SES). We do not send marketing emails or newsletters — every email you receive from us is a direct result of a price event on a route you signed up to watch.

How you opted in

You provided your email address directly on lazyfare.net by creating a watchlist. This constitutes explicit opt-in consent to receive price alerts for the specific route you selected. We do not add users without their direct action. We do not import or purchase email lists.

Unsubscribing

Every alert email contains an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it immediately removes your watchlist and stops all further alerts for that route — no login required. You can also remove watchlists directly on lazyfare.net.

If you want all your data deleted, use the Delete all my data link in the footer of any LazyFare alert email. Clicking it immediately removes all your watchlists and stops all future emails — no login required. You can also email hello@lazyfare.net and we'll remove everything within 7 days.

Bounce and complaint handling

If an email sent to your address bounces permanently (e.g., the address doesn't exist), we immediately stop sending to that address. If you mark a LazyFare email as spam, we permanently remove your address from all future sends. These measures protect both you and the integrity of our email system.

Data storage

Your data is stored in Amazon Web Services infrastructure located in the United States (us-east-1 region). Price data is automatically deleted after 365 days. Watchlist data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Third-party services

• Amazon Web Services (SES) — email delivery. AWS acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your email address for its own purposes.
• FlightAPI.io — flight price data. We query this service with route and date parameters only; your personal information is never shared with them.
• Skyscanner — we link to Skyscanner search results so you can view and book flights. Clicking through is subject to Skyscanner's own privacy policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email hello@lazyfare.net. We'll respond within 7 days.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of LazyFare after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
